'ello there

do you like to study?

i looove to study

we should study more often

what's that face for?

ok. fine. i'm trying to be overly optimistic here. help me out

I just wanna take the test, get certified, and be DONE. ok, not really. i think spending hours studying at csn every day is kinda fun. at least in contrast to working full time in an acute hospital...which is what's coming up very soon in my future. i'd rather study.

Studying is kinda fun though.....just a teensy bit. i like it. :} hey! no faces!
School has always been a sport of sorts in my mind. studying is just part of the knowledge-testing excitement of it all...
>500 bucks to take this test though......i better study harder.........BYE BYE!

super small acts that mean so much

Today i was spontaneously asked to do something i didn't space enough time in the day for... but it was a family obligation, so of course i did it. i loved every moment, i can't complain. but it took even longer than i anticipated...at least 2 hours longer. i was exhausted and a little bitter that it took so long. only for selfish reasons though -- i wanted to possibly see some friends tonight. but that was a bad reason to be bitter.

Anywho. my dad is so wise. i don't think i led on what was going through my mind, unless i'm getting easier to read these days. but he was the only one who really realized that i was asked to do something last minute - as in 'jump in the car, we need you' last minute. and ended up taking the rest of the evening. so when we got home he asked me "Tiffany, do you want a shake?" i answered "no. i'm okay" but in my head i was like "that'd be nice..." but it was really late anyway, so i didn't want him to bother.

But my dad went ahead and made me a banana milkshake, poured it into a glass cup, and set it right in front of me on the table.

Such a small gesture, nothing fancy. but it made me so happy. and so thankful for a considerate father...since i didn't have dinner...and his ability to cheer me up. he is understanding in so many ways.

I felt rejuvinated after drinking it, mostly from the quiet gratitude i felt knowing that my dad would do that for me. so rejuvinated that i even washed the dishes afterwards...because i suddenly had too much energy i needed to spend.

I am grateful for small, considerate acts of kindness that didn't have to happen. but did.

Ohh dang! kharma for writing nice things about people.......i was just finishing this post when matthew came up to me and handed me a peanut butter snickers and (half empty, *ahem* that's ok) bottle of cream soda!!! probably feeling bad that i wasn't able to hang out with those friends i was tellin you about.

It's the small acts of consideration i tell ya!!! i'm feeling a third wind coming on!!! time to mop the floors..?? :)

cyo...not missing it this time!

Yesterday morning i walked to the lorenzi chapel with my lil bro and daddy. exercise baby!! our goal was to play basketball.

But when we showed up, there was meuusic coming from the chapel room and a sign on the door that read:
CYO - Cultivating Young Organists
[organ camp!]

I waited for my chance to sneak up in between lessons to ask for a spot on the participant schedule. & i landed a spot smack-dab at 1pm! i start wednesday.

So excited! yesterday was day one and it only lasts two weeks every M, W, and F. sister een is so awesome to take even more time out of her day to add me to the list. she's so self-less!! love her.

I could definitely use some touch-ups & organ advice! i hope she doesn't mind that i wear socks to play. i don't do organ shoes, it feels weird....not that i've ever tried them or anything.

But yeah!! i remember taking the very first organ camp that the stake offered a few years ago. that's where i learned to play & sis een was an awesome teacher then sooo she must be an awesome teacher now!

I'm excited!

[oh yes, &&& we still got to play basketball. i realized i am so out of shape! one set of ladders & i died]

YAAAAY for perfect timing and awesome opportunities!! thank you SISTER EEN :D

talking is just noise

I hate talking. hate it. i prefer to listen.

Or silence.

So holding conversations is hard for me. unless the other person does all the talking, then it's pretty easy i guess.

It's not that i'm horrible at conversing with other people, but it's usually a chore.

There's only those select few that i feel so comfortable around that talking is so natural. but the rest of the time....so much work!

Maybe i'm just lazy.

No.

Most of the time i just can't seem to like talking.

Maybe that's one of the reasons why when people assume too much without listening to the whole story first is one of my pet peeves.

I have a lot on my mind. but i don't usually like to express it.

Maybe it's because i'm not good at expressing myself...or maybe i'm not good at expressing myself because i need practice.

Maybe it's because i feel like people won't understand what i'm trying to say. or i'll totally bomb what it is i'm trying to express. that's not uncommon for me.

Maybe it's because i feel like what i have to say nobody cares about.

Hm. curiouser and curioser

Sometimes talking is fun. for example, i LOVE giving presentations on stuff. or giving talks in church. or preparing lessons....but something they all have in common is preparation. i guess i just like knowing what i'm going to say and organizing my thoughts before it come out. then i enjoy it completely.

Oh life. why must talking be such a big part of it?

....Me and my gaucheness. whyyyy?

So it's a good thing i have friends who cover for me. although i wish that didn't have to be the case.

Okay. one more thing to prove my point! i love to think! just plain old think. that sounds dreadful, but by "think" i mean day-dream, zone out, and wonder about anything and everything. all this "thinking" doesn't leave a lot of extra room for conversation. talking just forces me to interrupt my thinking.

SEEEE!!!

Maybe i ammm weird.
